Integration and management of sustainability into decision-making processes rest with the Sustainability Committee, which is senior decision-making and responsible authority at our Bank. Our operations under the guidance of our Committee are carried out by the Sustainability Sub-Committee, which is affiliated with our Committee. The Sustainability Sub-Committee is chaired by the president of the International Banking and Investor Relations Department. The Sustainability Sub-Committee is responsible for establishing sustainability strategies and policies in economic, social, and environmental fields, as well as integrating these strategies and policies into the Bank’s operations and monitoring performance. We support our committee through the activities of the Sustainability Service under the Investor Relations Department, the Environmental Management Service under the Support Services Department, and the Environmental and Social Impact Analysis Department under the Corporate Loans Allocation Management Department.

The Committee convened two times in 2022. It approved the targets of the Bank that were presented to the Science-Based Targets initiative in line with the Bank's sustainability strategy. Decisions were taken by the committee on key performance indicators established under the sustainability-themed overseas financing transactions. The committee also approved the Environmental Policy in this fiscal period.

An "Integrated Governance Working Group" was established under the Sustainability Committee for the continuity of the integrated governance system and monitoring of new governance standards to minimize the Bank's environmental and social impacts. The "Working Group for Climate Risks and Environmental Social Risk Management System" was established for analyses of climate risks and environmental and social impacts.

We continue our sustainability efforts through the Sustainability Service, Environmental Management Service, and Environmental and Social Impact Analysis Department. Investor Relations Sustainability Service is in charge of monitoring sustainability-related developments and commitments, analyzing global trends, and providing coordination within the Bank for activities to be conducted in this field. We carry out the coordination and follow-up of the objectives for reducing the direct environmental impacts of our Bank, and the Carbon Disclosure Project (CDP) reporting activities through the Environmental Management Service. We monitor the impact we create through financing projects within the Environmental and Social Impact Analysis function.

The Sustainability Service is in charge of monitoring sustainability-related developments, analyzing global trends, and providing coordination within the Bank for the activities to be conducted in this field. It is also in charge of preserving the Bank's rankings on national and global environmental, social, and governance (ESG) indices while raising the Bank's ESG scores to higher levels.
